Mizuno has built a storied reputation for premium running shoes; the Wave Rider 22 continues that tradition with new refinements in cushioning, comfort, and fit. An improved midsole offers a softer running experience, utilizing the two-layer, engineered mesh upper to provide breathability. Cloudwave cushioning technology smooths out the ride and adds payback in the form of energy return.
Dynamic Midsole Construction
The midsole features a combination of Mizuno's U4ic and U4icX foam materials. U4icX is used in the heel under the plate to dramatically soften impact, while the slightly firmer U4ic is employed throughout the rest of the midsole for its light weight and resilient durability.
